With an array of cork patterns, shades and textures, the versatile Capri Muro cork wall tile collection offers multiple possibilities for creative vertical installations. Muro Studio, with a simple ribbed texture, includes natural light and dark cork and 5 stained colors. Studio tile size is 12″ x 24″ (nominal) x 4mm.
Muro Gallery offers a variety of surfaces created with cork bark. Gallery tile size is 12″ x 24″ (nominal) x 3mm.
Studio and Gallery come prefinished with a commercial grade water-based finish.

Cork is a natural product; shade variations are inherent. As with all natural wood, cork needs to be protected from UV rays. All patterns, including linear strips are random and are not intended to match or line up.
The cork tree, Quercua Suber, is grown in the Mediterranean Basin and has a life span of over 200 years. The tree produces bark that when removed/harvested will not damage the tree and regenerates itself within 9 year cycles.
Capri has ASTM test results that confirm that cork tile will not contribute to the growth and reproduction of bacteria and will actually aid in the destruction of bacteria over a 24 hour time period. Additionally, we also have ATSM test results that confirm after 4 weeks there were only trace levels of fungal growth on cork which was so minimal that the growth could only be seen under a microscope.
